I became a driving instructor in 2013 and I love it! My previous career was in banking & finance then small business management. Training, coaching and development has been an important part of what I do, whether it be work or sport related.
I am very proud that I have been able to help and guide many learners through the learning process to pass the driving test. My students have collectively achieved a 90% pass first go rate and for those that didn’t pass, 100% on the 2nd attempt. To me, driving is a life skill. If it is taught and learnt properly the safe driving skills and processes we go through are there for life.
I’m told I have a relaxed, calm and patient approach to driver training. I work with each learner to ensure they develop the skills, understanding and hazard perception to equip them to be safe on the roads. My focus is on quality of lessons, not quantity. I work with learners and parents to develop an individual plan to achieve the goal of getting ‘that’ drivers licence.
My goal for each learner is to become a safe, competent and confident driver. Safety behind the wheel is my number 1 priority.
I have a very close knit family with three boys in their 20’s and a very large extended family. I enjoy the flexibility to work outside the 9 to 5 time frame offering learners flexible lessons times.
My qualifications include: Certificate IV’s in Transport and Logistics & Training and Assessment, Safer Driver Course facilitator and coach, keys2drive, member of the Australian Driver Trainers Association and hold all required insurances
