I've been a driving instructor since 2010 and I have come across different kinds of learners from different backgrounds. I study how a learner responds to directions and their reactions and I adapt my learning methods to better their understanding. One method is by demonstrating and the second method is by drawing a diagram and if they ask, I give them a copy of the diagram to take home with them. I understand every learner learns differently, so I am patient with them and try to get them to feel as comfortable as possible. I don't like to make learners feel down when they make a mistake, I like to turn a mistake to a positive outcome by learning from it. I am also fluent in Auslan (Australian Sign language). I enjoy being a driving instructor because I like the feeling of helping others to drive safely and the happiness they feel when they start to achieve car control and understanding of the road rules. Of course, there is also the excitement and joy of getting their licence. I enjoy being their mentor/coach all the way through to guide them to better their driving abilities and the proud moment of getting their licence.
An excellent instructor who is both very knowledgeable and patient. Wally is and instructor who I would highly recommend to anyone who needs help becoming a much better driver. He is very supportive and is great a correcting common mistakes made by newer drivers. His great tips also make it very easy to pick a good driving habit, that help during the test.
