Hi, my name is Gary. I am originally from the UK. My teaching style is “coaching” rather than “telling” others what to do. I like to make each student as comfortable as possible from the outset as I understand that beginners are often very nervous. My main aim is not just to help you pass the driving test but to develop safe driving habits that will last you a lifetime. I have gained licences operating all types of vehicles from forklifts, motorcycles, cars, to light rigid and heavy rigid trucks. I have many years experience as a voluntary instructor in a youth organisation. My driving force was knowing I was making a difference to the lives of young people. Watching them grow and develop, knowing that I had helped them along the way, was the most rewarding part. I have worked for many years in the Engineering industry where I developed a number of skills including a strong focus on safety and took great pride in apprentice training and development. I enjoy meeting people from different backgrounds. I am a friendly, patient, polite, easy-going person. Solving driving issues and helping learners overcome their fears so that they can progress and become a “solo safe” driver is one of the most rewarding parts of the role I have as a driver trainer. I have a keen eye for detail, can relate well with others and take a step-by-step approach. I’d love to help you get your licence or refresh your skills.
