Hi, my name is John. I have had a varied career, from 2 years service in the Australian Army, to 26 years with AMP, to owning and operating the Sherwood Post Office for 10 years. I became an accredited driving instructor in 2004. It's not often that you get to combine something you love with something you get paid for. I believe that my life and work experience come in handy on a daily basis in this role. I am friendly, with a great "can-do" attitude and always wanting to help others. I thoroughly enjoy the challenge of imparting new skills, defensive driving techniques and road rule compliance to my students. I believe, in life, you never stop learning. I ensure I adjust the learning experience to suit a whole range of student needs. My wife and I have 3 adult children and we are now proud grandparents to seven grandchildren!
John has taught and instructed both my daughters on driving and road safety skills to obtain their driving licence . Both of them spoke highly of his instructing and his teaching technique . I am a officer in the Qld Fire Service and know all to well the importance of good teaching when in control of a motor vehicle . I was so impressed with John that I have recommended him to many of my colleagues and friends to teach their children in driving skills

We engaged John when our 3 children (1 son and 2 daughters) were learning to drive. For all 3 he was a great instructor, with all 3 passing their driving test and getting their licences first attempt. All 3 were different and he was very patient, very professional, very practical and did a great job in building their confidence and skills and supporting them on the day of their test. Our eldest daughter lost her confidence when she was abused by another driver and John talked her through it and quickly got her back behind the wheel. All 3 related to him and his instructions very well and we can’t speak highly enough of John and the great job he did in not just enabling our kids to get their licences but importantly teaching them to become competent drivers. Would (and have) highly recommend John to other parents and learner drivers.
