What is the Road Rules Knowledge Test?

The Road Rules Knowledge Test is a computer-based road rule test which has 35 questions. The questions are split into 6 sections. You must be at least 15 years and 9 months of age, and have successfully completed the pre-learner licence training course before you can sit the Road Rules Knowledge Test. Pre-learner licence training courses are delivered by several organisations across the ACT, including schools, community groups, and small businesses.

How to pass the Road Rules Test?

As mentioned, the test is split into six parts. You will need to answer 31 out of the 35 questions correctly. The more you practice the RRKT, the greater your chance of passing on the first go!

Eyesight Test

Having good eyesight is critical for safe driving so before your Learner application will be approved you’ll need to complete a visual acuity (eye) test and meet the minimum standards.

The ACT Road Rules Handbook

The EzLicence practice RRKT is the closest you’ll get to the real thing but you may wish to prepare for the test by reading through the ACT Road Rules Handbook. Every question in the test comes from the contents of this 120-page booklet.
