How to become a driving instructor in New South Wales

The process to become a driving instructor in Western Australia is relatively straight forward and can be completed within a few months. The licensing authority is the 'Department of Transport' and you will need to meet the applicant conditions below:

  1. Possess a current Western Australian driver's licence
  2. Have a minimum of 3 continuous years experience driving the vehicle class you wish to teach
  3. Pass a medical
  4. Obtain a National Police Certificate
  5. Be at least 21 years old
