You are able to change your transmission preference via your learner account at any time and at no cost.
Important: Changing your preference will not change any existing bookings, only future bookings. If you have existing bookings that you don't wish to keep, you will need to cancel them first. Please be aware that you can only cancel bookings up to 24 hrs prior to the booking start time.
Using a Mobile Phone or Tablet
On your Dashboard, top right hand side of your screen, click the Three Solid Lines button 
The ‘My Preferences' screen will appear, the first preference option is Preferred Transmission, click the drop down arrow, select your preferred transmission.
Scroll down to the bottom of the page, click Save Changes.
Your preferred transmission has now been changed and saved, you have been taken back to your ‘Dashboard’.
To review all instructors servicing your area with your preferred transmission, click Book another instructor, a list of instructors will be displayed.
Using a Desktop Computer
On your Dashboard, top right hand side of your screen, next to your profile pic, click the drop down arrow, Select My Preferences.
The ‘My Preferences' screen will appear, top right side of the screen you will see Preferred Transmission, click the drop down arrow, select your preferred transmission.
Scroll down to the bottom of the page, click Save Changes.
Your preferred transmission has now been changed and saved, you have been taken back to your ‘Dashboard’.
To review all instructors servicing your area with your preferred transmission, click Book another instructor, a list of instructors will be displayed.
After your first lesson, your driving instructor will be in the best position to assess how many driving lessons you should take, based on factors such as:
• Previous driving experience, if any
• Confidence level
• How quickly you appear to learn and master driving techniques
A New Driver
If you have no driving experience at all, we recommend at least 7 to 10 hours of driving lessons with an accredited driving instructor. For less confident learners, it’s not unusual to book up to 20 hours of instruction. We all learn at different speeds, and it is important to make sure you have a handle on what you’ve been taught in your driving lessons, not just for your driver’s test, but to be a safe and competent driver.
If you are a new driver but have had some driving experience – say, with a family member or friend – we recommend at least 5 to 7 hours of driving instruction to fine-tune your skills and prepare for your driving test.
International Driver’s Licence Holders
Most international driver’s licence holders book about 2 to 3 hours of driving instruction to prepare for the driver’s test here. Notably, there has been a high failure rate in this category, so we recommend starting with at least 3 to 5 hours of driving lessons before attempting the driving test.
Licenced wanting to learn how to drive a manual car
Most learners who already hold an Australian Driver's Licence, but wish to learn on a manual vehicle, will require 3 to 5 hours of driving lessons.
Please note that these ranges are a guide only and will vary from learner to learner.
You can change instructors online up to 5 hrs prior to the booking start time.

The ‘Make a Booking’ screen will appear, click either + Driving Lesson/s or + Driving Test Package, select the lesson duration, day and time for your booking. Enter pick up location, click Save.
The ‘Make A Booking’ confirmation screen will appear. Review your booking, click Confirm Booking/s.
You will be taken back to your Dashboard, your new booking will be displayed under Upcoming Bookings.

The ‘Make A Booking’ confirmation screen will appear. Review your booking, click Confirm Booking/s.
You will be taken back to your Dashboard, your new booking will be displayed under Upcoming Bookings.
